Specialty Bags
Vented Poly
Poly bags with perforations that let air move freely while still protecting the product inside.
What are vented poly bags?
Vented poly bags are designed to do what standard plastic bags can’t — allow airflow in and out while still protecting the product inside. Made from polyethylene film (LDPE, LLDPE, or HDPE), they include small perforations or pin holes that let air move freely through the packaging.
Without ventilation, sealed bags can trap humidity, fog up, expand with air, or collapse under pressure changes. Venting creates a more breathable environment for products sensitive to trapped moisture, temperature changes, or off-gassing.
Where it fits
Common applications
Fresh product packaging
Extends shelf life and prevents condensation by allowing the release of moisture and ethylene gas which accelerates spoilage
Bakery & prepared food
Keeps breads and pastries from going soggy or getting moldy as they continue to release moisture after bagging
Industrial parts
For items that release gases or expand when sealed, venting prevents puffing, reduces static, and helps avoid packaging damage
Medical & lab
Transporting sterilized, temperature-sensitive items or equipment that could sweat/fog inside a sealed bag including sample kits and cold chain logistics
E-commerce & high-speed fulfillment centers
Used in inner packaging or products that could bloat to maintain package dimensions and prevent pressure buildup during processing
